2016 Cardinal's Appeal
During this Jubilee Year of Mercy, we are called to help one another and be merciful, as Jesus is for all of us. It is only with your help that the Cardinal’s Annual Stewardship Appeal continues to be a beacon of hope for our brothers and sisters through our ministries and charities.
Thank you to those who have already pledged!
2016 First Communion
More than 230 second graders completed their Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist here at St. Clare's through our Religious Education Program and St. Clare's School. Below are their pictures. We congratulate our First Communicants and their families. We pray this is a great beginning step in your continued journey with Christ who comes to be your shepherd and best friend.

Year of Mercy Pilgrimage 2016
On Saturday, May 14, 2016, sixty-two (62) parishioners from St. Clare and some of our neighboring parishes made our pilgrimage to the Holy Doors of Mercy at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral/Most Precious Blood Church. Our journey started with a bus ride from St. Clare. On the bus we got to know each other through conversation and songs. When we arrived at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral, some of us received the sacrament of reconciliation while the rest of us learned the history of the Old Cathedral. Afterwards, we celebrated Mass in honor of St. Matthias, Apostle. Then we took a special guided tour of the Old Cathedral and visited the catacombs below the Cathedral. Our tour guide was Msgr. Donald Sakano, Pastor of the Old Cathedral/Precious Blood Church. From visiting the catacombs, Msgr. Sakano led us on a walk through Little Italy to the Church of the Most Precious Blood where we walked through the Holy Doors of Mercy. We ended our pilgrimage in the beautiful Il Picolo Bufalo restaurant in Little Italy with a five star lunch. We got back on the bus for a jubilant, yet peaceful ride back to St. Clare where most of us attended the 5pm Mass to conclude an amazingly spiritual and community building day. See our pictures above. Thank you to all who attended. May the mercy of God abide in you always and may the friendships we forged on this trip last eternity.
