  • Science Fair Tomorrow For those who were chosen...  students will go home at dismissal and they can come back with parents or guardians if they want to. They have to be back between 3:30 and 4:00 to pick it up. Thanks!!

  • Social Studies Review Please study the explorers sheet that is glued into the notebooks. Where they are from, year of explorations, location and names.Latitude and longitude . Know how to locate states on a map using latitude and longitude lines.Know who Peter Minuit, Peter Stuyvesant, John Peter Zenger, Henry Hudson, and Samuel de Champlain are.Know: Dutch West India Company, First person to reach NY, who took over New Netherland, and  first European settlementBe prepared to explain the journey of the explorers and why they were important. How things have changed in New Netherland when the British took over. How life was like in the NY colony.

  • Science Review Be able to identify a picture as a solid, liquid, gas.Study all notes: particles that are packed in tightly, definite shape, particles farthest apart. Balance scale, graduated cylinder, liter, gram. Examples  of physical and chemical change. (in notebook)Words to know: water, atoms, mass, gases, space, oxygen, solids, matter.Be prepared to answer how and why water can be all three states of matter.

Please have a silent reading book and number 2 pencils for next week.Readers are Leaders: due 3/27Science Report: due 4/12Book Report: due 4/2513 colonies quiz: 4/3 Memorize the colonies on the map. Will give some notes on Monday to study for the upcoming quiz as well.

Sheets were sent home (not mandatory to complete) I figured this could help them study for their test tomorrow.Spelling - wordsearch sheet.Please remember that the Readers are Leaders sheet is due next week.*** Also, if every child can please have a silent reading book with them daily.   • 3/21 Study for Math - Zearn is always a great option for extra practice. I suggest to do Lesson 10 or 11 tonight (or both!) Finding missing angle measurements. Spelling - ABC order #1-10 ELA - Ready book. I had a conference with each child today to see how they did for pages 59-61 while they worked on book 3. I would like someone at home to read their essays. I also told the students who should redo and reread the story. The stories were not easy, but  focusing on each part of the question at the top of the page is important and planning it on the planning page is also very important.
