  • Letter from Dr. McNiff, Superintendent of Scnhools Please refer to the school website to view the complete letter from Dr. McNiff regarding student participation in the New York State examinations which begin next week.   • Tuesday, March 21st The Science Fair is tomorrow. There will a 12:00 dismissal.  Parents and students are invited to come to an afternoon of fun from 1:30 to 3:30.  There will be water chemistry, robotics demonstrations, design of 3D models, and the eighth grade Battle of the Bridges which will be the total destruction round.  Kayla Maloney  from the Globetrotters will perform a Water Ballet.  It seems like a very fun afternoon for the students.  They can also review the science projects.  It's sure to be fun and interesting!

Recent Homework

  • Friday, March 24th Reading - Read aloud and silently for log.  Reading logs will be collected Friday, March 31st.  Math -  Test next Friday on graphs and line plots.  Review Lessons 26 and 27 in Progress book (p 234-249 as well as notes in your notebook about "key words" to understand when interpreting data.  Social Studies - Continue working on Country report due April 3rd.   Religion - Study the "Act of Contrition".  Oral quiz to recite the prayer starting on Monday. Don't forget your Pretzel $.

  • Wednesday, March 22nd Reading - Read aloud and silently for log.  Students should have 22 days filled in on their reading logs.  Also, read "Project Mulberry" passage in State handout and answer questions the 2 questions, as well as, complete handout with passages #13 and 14.   Math - Complete handout and study for quiz on Friday on mixed multiplication/division/data on line plots.  Social Studies - Continue working on Country report due April 3rd.   Religion - Study the "Act of Contrition".  Quiz next week.

They should  fill out the information on the sheet provided by looking up information from the internet or books from the library.  They should design a fun cover which includes a picture of  the country's flag.  Please keep sheet in a safe spot. They may  make posters if they chose, bring in items from that country, and/or bring in ...
