  • Halloween!! 🎃
    On the following days listed for your cohort, students can wear Halloween Costumes or dress down in black and orange. If your child chooses to wear a costume, please remember they must wear their mask covering their nose and mouth.  Please no face-make up, no weapons and no accessories in school.  Please make sure your child is able to use the restroom on their own with their costume. Please try to avoid one piece or hard to maneuver costumes for school.

  • SeeSaw Tutorial for Tests Tomorrow (Cohort B)
    Tomorrow, Cohort B will be taking their spelling and phonics tests virtually. They will be taking the test along with the class (Cohort A). I will be reading the test to them and giving them direction. We will be using SeeSaw as our platform. I put together this video for you to see beforehand on how to open the document and complete the tests. They will be available to you by 7:30 tomorrow morning. Do not complete them beforehand. They must be done along with the class and submitted when we are finished. For the phonics test, the children do not have to write anything. All they have to do is use the writing tool to circle their answers.

    **Please check Savvas and SeeSaw for yesterday's homework assignments if you have not already completed them. Savvas- Math quick check lesson 2-9 and on SeeSaw- Jesus is a gift to the world. 


    **Cohort A - You will be receiving a Science Habitat worksheet in your child's green folder today.  Please keep it in your child's folder on the return to school side.  We will be needing it later on this week and next week.  I just want to make sure you have it. Please keep it in the green folder on the return to school side. Thank you. Cohort B, you will receive yours on Thursday.



    1. Math - Complete pgs. 137-138.

    2. Spelling - Write spelling words 1-3, 3x each in ABC order in your spelling notebook. 

    3. ELA - write a sentence using the spelling word "three".

    4. Read - 10 minutes.

    -On Friday during science lab, we will be making static electricity ghosts! Cohort A, in order for your child to participate at home, please have a 1 ply tissue (you may have to separate your tissue). I like to draw three circles in one of the corners to look like the 2 eyes and the mouth of the ghost. You will also need a blown up balloon.

     

    -Friday we will be making a ghost lantern. Cohort A, to participate you will need:

    -1 piece of white printer paper or construction paper. 

    - 1 strip of paper about 8 - 12 in long and about 1-2 inches wide.  I will be using the color black.

    - scissors

    - glue stick

    - a black crayon or a black marker.

     

     

    Tests:

    1. Math - Test, Thursday, Oct. 29th. Study Topic 2. Use the practice assessment on pgs.145-148 to help prepare.

     

    2. Religion - Test. Friday, Oct. 30th. Study notes on Chapter 2. Study the notes posted on the class webpage in the documents tab in the Religion folder to prepare.

     

    3. S.S.- Quiz. Monday, Nov. 2nd. Address/chart quiz on SeeSaw. It has been posted already. Please complete the quiz by Monday, Nov. 2nd. 

     

    4 . Spelling - Quiz Tuesday, Nov. 3rd.

     

    4. Phonics - Test Tuesday, Nov. 3rd.

    Sight words: with, three, he, is, to, go, me, for, where, here

    Review Pattern words with these sounds:

    short /a/: Ex: rat

    short /e/: Ex: jet, bed

    3. ELA - Write a sentence using the spelling word "wig". Write on sentence with "with".

I like to draw three circles in one of the corners to look like the 2 eyes and the mouth of the ghost. You will also need a blown up balloon.
