  • The Coin Song! Today the children were taught a song to help them remember coins and their values. I promised them I would post it on the website so they can sing it at home. = )The Coin Song (goes to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star) Penny, penny easily spent. Coppery brown and worth 1 cent. Nickel, nickel thick and fat. You're worth 5 cents, I know that. Dime, dime little and thin. I remember, you're worth 10. Quarter, quarter big and round. Worth 25 cents and is easily found.

  • Popcorn brand for movie/popcorn prize tomorrow On Friday, I posted in the announcements tab about the box top prize. See previous announcement for details. Here is a picture of the popcorn that will be used for tomorrow. If this brand is not OK for your child due to allergies, they may bring in their own popcorn.

  • Box Top Prize- Tuesday Since First Grade won the box tops contest, we will getting our prize of a movie and popcorn on Tuesday afternoon.  Please bring in an extra small bottle of water for the children to have in the afternoon while they have popcorn and watch the movie.  This water should be in addition to what they will drink during snack time in the morning and at lunch.  The office is going to let us know which brand of popcorn we will be serving.  Once we know the brand, I will post it on the homework page.  If anyone has an allergy to that brand, your child may bring in their own approved bag of popcorn that they can eat safely that ...

  • June 18th and 19th If your child will not be in school Monday June 18th or Tuesday, June 19th, please send in an absent note in your child's folder ahead of time. This way your child's absence will be marked excused, making it a legal absence, rather than unexcused (illegal absence).  Thank you!!

  • Have a great summer! Dear Parents,      I can't believe the school year is over! It has been such a wonderful year with your children. It was a pleasure watching them learn and grow this year. Each and every one of them will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for your cooperation and support throughout the year.   • Homework 6/18/19 **Please make sure your child has a snack and a water bottle tomorrow. 1. Tomorrow is our last day of school!!2. 12:00 Dismissal tomorrow. 3. Dress down day tomorrow.4. Rock Climbing Wall - The NYPD will bringing their rock climbing wall. The children must have sneakers on in order to participate.5. Show and Tell Day.  Please bring in ONE stuffed character or animal that is your child's favorite to show to the class. 6. Read - 20 minutes.   Reminders:- Tuesday, June 19th - 12:00 dismissal.  This is the last day of school. Dress Down Day. ** Please check the school website for any changes to the calendar.
