  • Science Lab and Craft for Wed. and Fri (10/28 and 10/30)

    Wednesday we will be making a jack-o-lantern craft together. Cohort B, for you to participate, please have an orange piece of paper ( we will be using 1 piece of orange construction paper each.  If you do not have orange construction paper, your child can color a paper completely orange.  You will need:

    - 1 piece of orange paper

    - stick glue

    - scissors

    - a black crayon or marker

    - a paper plate( if you do not have a paper plate, cut out a piece of paper in the shape of a circle.



    Friday we will be making a ghost lantern. Cohort A, to participate you will need:

    -1 piece of white printer paper or construction paper. 

    - 1 strip of paper about 8 - 12 in long and about 1-2 inches wide.  I will be using the color black.

    - scissors

    - glue stick

    - a black crayon or a black marker.



    Friday during science lab, we will be making static electricity ghosts! Cohort A, in order for your child to participate at home, please have a 1 ply tissue (you may have to separate your tissue). I loke to draw three circles in one of the corners to look like the 2 eyes and the mouth of the ghost. You will also need a blown up balloon.

    On the following days listed for your cohort, students can wear Halloween Costumes or dress down in black and orange. If your child chooses to wear a costume please remember they must wear their mask covering their nose and mouth.  Please no face-make up, no weapons and no accessories in school.  Please make sure your child is able to use the restroom on their own with their costume. Please try to avoid one piece or hard to maneuver costumes for school.

     

    Cohort A: Wednesday, Oct. 28th - Costumes or black and orange dress down in school. 

    Cohort B: Friday, Oct. 30th- Costumes or black and orange dress down in school.

    Dear parents, 

    In order for us to access a wonderful paid website for free from the Arch, we need this form to be completed for grades K-3.  Please click on this link and complete the form online today. Thank you!


    The Arch is in the process of updating the login credentials for Discovery Education.

    Students in grades K-8 are required to have a school email address in order for access to be given.

    Below is a link to a google form that the parents in grades K-3 need to complete. By completing this form, parents are giving their permission for the accounts to be created.

    You do not need to print out the form. You only need to complete and submit it online.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020-HW:

    **Please NO ripped pants.


     **Cohort A - Tomorrow is black and orange dress down day or you can wear your Halloween costume.  Please check below with reminders for costumes.  A cloth mask covering the nose and mouth must still be worn.


    **Cohort B - Check below for directions about what supplies are needed tomorrow for our craft.

     

    1. Math - Complete pgs. 137-138.

    2. Spelling - Write spelling words 1-3, 3x each in ABC order in your spelling notebook. 

    3. ELA - write a sentence using the spelling word "three".

    4. S.S. - Quiz on Address and Charts on seesaw.  The assessment is on seesaw. Please complete by Monday. Points will be deducted if it is not completed on time.

    5. Read - 10 minutes.

    - Today: Scholastic Orders - If you would like to order from scholastic book club please so online at scholastic.com/readingclub. You will need a class code. Class code M7KTJ.

    Due date today (By the end of the school day 2:30).

    ** I made an error in the Math lesson. I was so excited to talk about fact families that I got ahead of myself! You can still complete 119- 120 for homework tonight. It is the same lesson.
