Stream Recovery

The recovery from the flooding of September 2013 is a marathon, not a sprint. It will take years of strategic master planning to build back watersheds and streams, better, stronger, more sustainable and more resilient than before the disaster.

The Colorado Recovery Office will collaborate with state and federal agency technical experts to focus on stream recovery of flood impacted areas. Our focus is on a unified approach to develop a stream recovery work plan, implement strategies, define needed resources to achieve long term reliant and sustainable stream recovery.

The Stream Recovery Group will provide resources about your impacted community on this site. The state, Federal agencies, Coalitions, local governments and individuals can collaborate through the sharing of ideas to implement long term master planning in your communities.
