2020 PSCS Radio Summit CANCELED!
Out of an abundance of caution and for the protection and safety of our highly valued and loyal participants and sponsors, we regret to inform you that the 2020 Public Safety Radio Summit scheduled for May 6th & 7th has been canceled.  With the Summit scheduled just a short 7-weeks out and the uncertainty of what the future holds during this state of emergency, the Summit Planning Committee made the tough decision this morning to cancel.
The Emery Reynolds Lifetime Achievement Award, the Career Achievement and the Event Achievement Awards will be presented to the award winner(s) at a later date when it becomes safe to congregate for a meeting.
We are working through the process for refunds for paid registrations. More will follow on that in a later communication.  We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to see you at the 2021 Summit!
We will be reaching out to presenters and sponsors individually to ensure they are advised of this change in plans.
As a secondary note, at least the next couple of PSCS meetings will be held Virtually.  Details will be provided in future communications.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

2020 PSCS Radio Summit
Plans are well underway for the next PSCS Radio Summit.  Registration is open and additional speakers/presenters are being sought.  Visit Registration to get signed up, or to submit an application to present at this event.  Remember, there is no charge for PSCS Directors and military veterans.

The 2019 PSCS Annual Report has been submitted to Stan Hilkey, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Public Safety and Kevin Klein, Director of the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Please take some time to review this document.  Thanks to Chief Dave Hayes for his work on this report.

The PSCS Financial Sustainability and Improvement Working Group has been tasked with finding funding for public safety communications.  Please see details on the tab above.

2019 Radio Summit
The 2019 version of the Radio Summit was a great success!  We had 160 registrants and nearly all showed up for a strong lineup, including Ronald Hewitt, Assistant Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (part of US Homeland Security) and Dr. John Nicoletti who spoke on resiliency in public safety communications.  The summit presentation slides are now on this website in the Reference Library.  PRESENTATIONS

2018 SCIP Rewrite  The Colorado Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan has been rewritten in a collaborative effort between the PSCS, the Colorado Broadband Office, and the Public Utilities Commission

2018 Radio Summit Facilitated Discussions
Below is a report from the US Department of Homeland Security Office of Emergency Communications, summarizing the three facilitated discussions regarding operable and interoperable communications throughout the state.

The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies has issued it's final recommendations on whether or not the PSCS should sunset in 2019, or be continued.  Their recommendation is to continue the subcommittee, and that recommendation will be presented to the next session of the Colorado Legislature in early 2019.  Here's a copy of their reviews of various subcommittees.
