| Get Gmail, Contacts, and Calendar on your BlackBerry!|
Prior to following the instructions below, please take a moment to read the following important information regarding BlackBerry activation.
**Individuals with BlackBerry devices at the Department of Corrections will need to back up their devices but should not follow the rest of the instructions in this email. Someone from the OIT Deskside Support Team will reach out to individuals with BlackBerry devices at the DOC to coordinate the move to Google.**
If your BlackBerry has personal information stored on the device, you will need to backup your device. This includes:
- Personal Contacts
- Downloaded Applications
(If you are not sure where your pictures or data are saved, remove your memory card and see if the data/pics are gone. If they are gone, then they are stored on the memory card and backup is not necessary.)
A staff member of the Deskside Support group will be available to assist with this and all other BlackBerry needs should you require direct support. Hands-on support will be available at a location near you, Monday, October 8 through Friday, October 12; Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
