What is a Student Success Program?

Student success programs are those that ensure that students will have the necessary resources to make informed decisions and be prepared to begin, successfully complete higher education, and be equipped to enter employment.

Though they vary in scope, most programs ensure that students not only get to college, but also that they have the tools and support they will need to get through college, and participate in the workforce. Student success programs are crucial to improving the outcomes of the futures of students, and in strengthening Colorado’s talent pool.

Some programs begin in middle school and follow students through high school, the college or post-secondary application process and continue on through those programs. Some programs may provide students with crucial life skills to help them be successful students and adults.  Other programs are not as intensive and may include a program that gives some additional services added to on to a scholarship the student have earned.
