The Scholarship Initiative board reviewed, and approved, the first round of applications for approximately $1.3 million in matching funds in November 2015. January 20, 2016, the board reviewed and approved an additional $1.9 million in matching funds. Again, in March 2016, and May 2016 the board approved $1.1 million and $2.3 million respectively. Through these partnerships, to-date the Scholarship Initiative has generated a commitment of nearly $14 million in additional scholarship funds to Colorado students from state and philanthropic sources.
