Human Resources is made up of three units:
They provide technical services and consultation in the areas of personnel management, employee benefits, and workers compensation.
The Center for Equal Opportunity is responsible for consultation and investigation of employment-related civil rights issues. This unit also advises on client civil rights for both Colorado Department of Human Services programs and county services. It also provides expert advice on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The Background Investigation Unit, Employment Section conducts background checks for state and/or contracting employees who will have direct contact with vulnerable persons receiving services from CDHS.
