      Dear Parents,

I scheduled our field trip of the school year.  We are going to the Children’s Museum, 212 W. 83rd Street, New York City on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.  The cost of the trip will be $8.00 per person (children and adults), on or before Thursday, February 16, 2017.  Due to the changes in NYC DOE policy, Pre-k students can no longer travel by school bus. We would still like our students to have the special opportunity of visiting the museum, therefore, we ask you choose one of the options below for your child.

      __ OPTION A

I will drop my child at the museum at 9:45 and pick him/her up at 11:30.

      __OPTION B

I will bring my child to the museum at 9:45 and stay with them for the tour.

      __OPTION C

I will bring my child to St. Ann School for a regular school day supervised by substitute teachers.

Please fill out the permission letter attached with the $8.00 cash payment and send it back on or before February 16, 2017.

Thank you very much for your help and your cooperation.

      Sincerely,

THIS IS THE FIRST NEWSLETTER OF THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR!

      Dear Parents,

We all survived the first full week of school! The children are transitioning very well to their new Pre-K environment. In order to make your child’s separation anxiety easier, we recommend that you drop your child off in the classroom before 8:25am and leave, even if your child is having a hard time adjusting.

This week the children have been very busy learning the class rules, routine, and schedule of the day. The playground and classroom activities are a huge hit!

We would appreciate it if you would talk to your child about the importance of following directions and listening to their teachers.

Thank you to those parents who have already brought in the classroom supplies.

We are looking forward to a wonderful school year with you and your child.

Attached is a Scholastic Book Order Form. We will send a form home to order books monthly. If you would like to place an order please be sure to put your child’s name on the form and enclose a check made out to Scholastic Books.

      Sincerely,

                  Mrs. Malig
