Welcome to my page!

I am happy to be the school counselor at Endy Elementary School! This is my 5th year at Endy and my 16th year with Stanly County Schools. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Eureka College and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University. I am a National Board Certified School Counselor. I live in Stanly County with my husband and three dogs. I enjoy working with students and their families to help them be successful in school and in life!

As part of our comprehensive school counseling program, I provide individual and small group counseling services. Students may be referred by a parent, teacher, or other staff member. More commonly, students seek me out themselves to talk about issues such as friendship problems, self-esteem, grief and loss, stress, and other barriers to their academic and social development.

Each month during guidance class we learn about a different character trait. The character traits we are focusing on this year are:
    Responsibility- September
    Good Judgement- October
    Self-Discipline- November
    Kindness- December
    Perseverance- January
    Respect- February
    Good Citizenship- March
    Integrity- April
    Courage- May
    Service to Others- Year-Long Trait
