Announcements are played daily on the closed circuit televisions outside the media center and main office area.  Students should review these daily.

Former Students and All Graduates who need transcripts or high school information, must request records through the Stanly County Schools website.  West Stanly cannot process these transcripts/records any longer.

All final transcripts will be sent automatically through  Students should have sent a transcript to every school they applied to through CFNC.  This automatically prompts the final to be sent when grades are finalized.

Senior Stuff:

  • Seniors...Very Important Reminder about Transcripts.  Many colleges are now prompting you to use their system to send transcripts electronically like SendEdu (Wingate, LR, etc).  This is fine, but you also need to send your transcripts through CFNC!  You can use both systems.  If you don't use CFNC for NC schools, your final transcripts will not be sent. This is the system NC uses for final transcripts and it is done automatically which is a great help to you.  Therefore, please make sure you always send TRs through CFNC even if you are prompted by the school to do so through another means (i.e. SendEdu, etc.).
  • CAP & GOWN ORDERS ARE PAST DUE...If you haven't ordered your cap and gown for graduation, you must do so right away in order to have everything for graduation.  Click on this link to Jostens to order or call 1-800-567-8367 today!  Don't be "that person" who doesn't have a cap & gown at graduation!
  • If you haven't created an account with you should.  This is the best way to apply to college and to send transcripts to NC schools.  CFNC also allows you to track your applications and transcripts.  It also ensures a final transcript is sent to the schools you applied to after graduation.  As a reminder, we will not send final transcripts to schools since this is done through CFNC.

  • March 2017 Thoughts:  March and April are the months you should be hearing from schools concerning admission decisions.  Therefore, you should start to receive letters saying that you are admitted, deferred or placed on a wait list.  It might be a good idea to have a plan “B” in case your first choices don’t work out.  CFNC has links to place your name in the running for open slots at schools throughout the State for enrollment, so check that out.  Also, if you get an admission notice, be sure to follow up on anything they request of you…a commitment, deposits, etc. On another note, this is also the time when many of our local organizations advertise and make decisions about scholarships.  You will want to pay close attention to announcements during this time so you don’t miss important deadlines. Stay focused, do the things you need to do in order to finish strong!
