Newcomerstown Exempted Village School District receives funding through the United States Department of Education under the “No Child Left Behind Act” and the “Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.” We receive funding from the federal government for use in providing instruction to students from a variety of funds.

The federal allocation amounts for each school district in our state come through the Ohio Department of Education. This agency determines the percentage of low-income children in the school district and using that percentage along with a federal “formula” arrives at the amount each district receives. Each district is limited to very specific spending guidelines from the United States Department of Education and Ohio Department of Education.

We invite questions, comments and assistance when working with any program in the school. If you have any concerns regarding funding from the Division of Federal Assistance, please contact Beth Hamersley, Federal Programs Coordinator, at the Newcomerstown Exempted Village Schools Board Office at 498-8373
