NOVEMBER is Picture Book Month!  During this month we celebrate the amazingness of picture books and appreciate that they are the gateway to a love of reading for all kids.  Starting Nov. 1st, I will send out videos of myself and some special guests reading new or classic picture books.  Teachers will have the option to show those videos to their classes.  We will also be reading picture books in the library.
WE LOVE PICTURE BOOKS!

A New Year, A New Look for the Library Program!

Get ready for some changes coming to library programming for the 17-18 school year.  Maker Monday and Poetry Friday are out (for now) while we get back to the basics at Parkway Elementary.  The library will be coordinating Passion Projects (otherwise known as Genius Hour) and literacy lessons for the majority of kids in 1st-5th gr.  They will have 30 min per day Monday- Thursday to work on literacy lessons and projects that mean something to them.  Groups will change as needs change throughout the year.  I am excited about this new challenge!
