“Without music, life would be a blank to me.”― Austen

Each student must maintain an average of 70 or above in every class in order to be eligible to participate in extra-curricular contests and performances.

Extra-curricular means: students miss class time to perform, there is a paid performance, event is on a Saturday, or there are after school practices associated with a performance. If a student fails on their 9 week report card, they are ineligible for extra-curricular activities. After the 3 week progress report, students may become eligible by passing all their classes.

I revisit this issue with students before each event, and all grades are checked before each extra-curricular performances.

Co-curricular means: performances which we work on in class that do not require missing school, having after school practices, or that involve a Saturday. All students must attend these events to receive a summative assessment.
