Theme of F.L.A.R.E.

Investigate the pros and cons of Human Impact on Earth. Through our research and expeditions, we will be able to learn how to secure a better world for animals through human understanding.

FLARE is an exclusive science club for 8th graders that are interested and excited about science. Students that participate will experience first-hand through field expeditions and interactions with scientists within the community. Since this club's goal is to experience science first-hand, we have planned multiple field trips throughout the year to investigate a variety of science contents. Possible trips include: Catamount Institute, Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Denver Zoo,  Colorado Springs Water Treatment Facilities, and much more! In addition to these day trips, there will be ONE overnight trip for three days, two nights to the Keystone Ski School in January or February of 2017.

Since FLARE is such and exclusive club that only accepts 24 members, it is vital for students to be GREAT examples of Eagleview Middle School. Interested students can ask for an application from his/her 7th Grade Science Teachers or Mrs. Gaunce in Room 242.
