Meet the Principal

 Meet the Principal

I am privileged, blessed and overjoyed to be your school principal for a second year.   I am so excited to continue to work with the amazing teachers, staff and parent community at St. Paul School.

I began this journey this last August. I ask for your prayers and patience as I embark on a vertical learning curve this year. I come to you a seven-year teacher. I have earned my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction; have extensive training in Professional learning communities, Explicit Direct Instruction, Special Education and academy leadership. Teaching was my childhood dream, but before I acted on that dream, I worked in the corporate world as a salesperson and owned a business with my husband for twelve years.  Most recently, I completed my Administrative Leadership credential in Equality and Social Justice. I have attended Catholic School all of my life including St. Mary’s College where I received my B.A in Philosophy and Art, my teaching credential and Master’s in Education degree.

I have been married 26 years to my high school sweetheart and have two wonderful boys. My oldest Alex is a senior at Occidental College majoring in Urban and Environmental Policy with a minor in Politics. He studied abroad in Thailand last spring. My youngest Julian attends St. Jerome and is in the  8th grade.  I am blessed for their love and support.

From the desk of the Principal

We are a Catholic Community of Learners.  We choose to come together to pray, learn, talk, reflect and grow professionally in a Christ-centered environment.  As we learn, we consider different points of view. We hear opinions and ideas of others.  We support the efforts of each other.  We focus on topics of need and interest. We work collaborately in on ongoing process of collective inquiry and action research in order to achieve better and better results for the students at St. Paul’s Catholic School.  We are constantly trying to improve.  We must clarify what is essential, minimize what is unnecessary, develop common assessments, establish specific targets and benchmarks, and identify and implement strategies to improve student learning.

Please feel free to phone or e-mail me at anytime. My door is always open.
