Week Without Walls

Introduction
The high school Week Without Walls program provides an authentic opportunity for students to experience adventure, authentic service, and cultural exchange linked to the SSIS Core Values. It is the SSIS school program for students in 9th and 10th grade during the week of September 18-23 and participation is required for those students.

9th Grade:
This year our grade 9 students have an opportunity to develop our core values of dedicated service, sense of self, and respect for all.  While our primary purpose will be the building of two homes for families in the village near Mai Chau, students will also volunteer in local schools in the area, go trekking and visit some other prominent sites in Hanoi.   All of these activities will help our students gain a greater understanding of our host country of Vietnam through service and other cultural activities.

10th Grade: This year,
the entire 10th grade will be traveling to the Maekok River Resort in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Set alongside the Maekok River in northern Thailand, this WWW trip will provide students with an opportunity to challenge themselves as individuals and to develop their skills as teachers and team players.
