I am really excited for the 2016-2017 school year.  It's amazing how fast this summer flew by!  I guess time flies when you're having fun, right?  Well if that's true, then get ready for this school year to fly by because we have a ton of fun things planned for this year!

Wednesday, March 22:

Intramurals have begun.  Monday & Wednesday will be open session until 3 PM, and students will be taking the 3 PM bus home.  Tuesday & Thursday will be a tournament style playing of activities which will run from 3-5 PM.  Students will be taking the 5:15 PM bus home.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Costa.

The next Builders Club meeting will be Thursday March 23, in room N-8 at 2:20, if you have any questions, please see Mrs. Browning or Mrs. Cosentino

Payments for the 7th Grade trip to the Liberty Science Center & Dinner Cruise are still being accepted.  If you are planning to attend, please bring in your payment.

Attention 7th Graders:  Your 8th grade trip to Washington DC is scheduled for October 5-6, 2017.  Second payments are due on Monday, April 3.

Builders Club will be meeting this week on Wednesday, March 22, in Mrs. Browning's room.  

All S.T.Y.L.E. members attending the trip on Friday, March 24th should report to the greeter’s desk at the end of 4th period on Friday. Any questions please see Mrs. Bleam

Attention 8th graders interested in trying out for high school cheerleading:  There will be an informational meeting on Monday, April 3, in the MS Cafeteria.  Tryouts will be held at the high school at the end of April.  Please plan to attend the meeting on Monday, April 3, if you are interested.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Giovine in Room A2 during homeroom.

Reminder:  Cell phones are NOT allowed during literacy class.

Attention Students: Chaperones are not provided for after-school sporting events. Students are not allowed to stay after school to attend sporting events. If you wish to attend, you must go home and have a parent or guardian bring you back to school and stay with you during the sporting event. Students are NOT permitted to walk to the high school or WaWa after school. If you have questions, please come to the Main Office.

Reminder to all students – Backpacks are not permitted in the hallways, only drawstring bags are allowed.  Cell phones must be turned off and put away prior to entering the building each morning. Cell phones may not be used during the school day unless you have specific permission from your teacher. Cell phones that are seen or heard during the school day will be collected and brought to the Main Office.

CONGRATULATION!!!!

Congrats to the Sailing team on their 2nd place finish over the weekend.  On Saturday, the team travelled up to SUNY Maritime and competed against 12 other schools from New Jersey and New York. They sailed in the snow and freezing rain and captured 2nd for the day!  Congrats again!

If you are interested in joining the team, practices are just starting and the weather will continue to warm up!!!! It is not too late to learn a sport you can do for the rest of your life!!!!
