Roberson Middle Dance Program
Roberson Middle Dance Program
Hello and welcome to a new school year! As your child’s dance teacher at Roberson Middle School, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Rosalba Ramos and I am a graduate from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in dance and a minor in Spanish. As your child’s teacher, I hope to share my love and passion for dance and foster what I know is an enormous amount of potential. Promoting College and Career Readiness is important in order to teach students that there are options to get further in their career, or in life itself. We want to set them up to succeed in whatever they put their mind to. Throughout the year, we will study: Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip-Hop. Within these areas, we will also look at dance history, performance, and choreography. For dance class, each student will be required to have proper dance attire, shoes, and materials. Here is a link to the list of items: Dance Attire List All items are due by September 8.
My goals for this year are as follows:
Every student will gain mastery of the Dance Benchmarks for Spring ISD.
While learning, students will be cared for and encouraged by positive reinforcement.
Students will gain a lifelong love of dance.
Once again, I want to welcome you and your child to Roberson Middle School and to the Dance Program.
