Welcome New 7th Graders!!!

RMS Razorbacks!

Ms. Roxane Segura Farrar, a professional educator since 1998, taught high school English I & II for both Pre-AP students and at risk students. She has been a team leader, a mentor, a dean, an associate principal, an assistant principal and is now a 7th Grade ELA teacher at RMS. In each of these roles, she desires to know her students, show them how much they matter and support them in their growth. For Ms. Farrar there is no greater calling than that of a teacher. She believes this with all her heart.

As an educator the single most important thing to teach children is to believe in themselves and to develop the will to be better. Muhammad Ali once said, “Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have a late minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.” As a champion of children, Ms. Farrar encourages her students to become champions, not for her, but for themselves.

Insight

“Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be” Rita F. Pierson

“Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behaviors. Keep your behaviors positive because your behaviors become your habits. Keep your habits positive because you habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.” Mahatma Gandhi
