Students will be devouring their novels, completing their genre study products, reading for their research writing, and sharing in literature circles in this final nine weeks grading period. We will continue to focus on reading strategies during our reading rotations. As we read together, we will do several comparison passages that link a piece of fiction with a related nonfiction text.
Help your child make good choices in books using the I-PICK strategy. You can see the acronym with its meaning in an attachment below. Remember that the 100 minutes of independent reading is our goal each week!
