Welcome to Year 2's homepage

This half term our focus is Explorers and Aviators, which includes learning about the lives of Amelia Earhart, Amy Johnson, Bessie Coleman and Douglas Bader.
You can help your child with their learning by:
* counting in twos, threes, fours, fives and tens
* learning the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 times tables and their related division facts
* telling the time to the quarter hour using analogue and digital clocks
* practising pairs of numbers that make 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 20 and multiples of 10 that make 100
* practising doubles and halves of numbers to 100, including halves of odd numbers and quarters of even numbers
* reading and writing the first 100 and next 200 spelling words
* revisiting spelling rules from weekly spelling tests
* reading together every day
* developing their vocabulary through reading a wide range of texts and visiting places of interest
