Community Education Grant for Water and Energy Science
The EWEB Partnership in Education Grant is a long standing relationship between the Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB) and Springfield Public Schools. EWEB funds K-12 science education related to water and energy for Springfield Schools. Many innovative and successful science programs have been established with the grant money generously donated by EWEB, including hands on lessons about salmon and their relationship to macro-invertebrates, the STEP Program (Salmon and Trout Enhancement Program), electricity kits and demonstration shows, the Air Car Engineering Program, the Solar Challenge Project, and Electrathon Cars.
