Mobile Device Settings

This information is for district-owned mobile devices, such as iPads. The district runs a Microsoft Exchange 2010 server for its email, calendaring, and contacts. Please be advised that Apple iOS devices currently support up to Exchange 2007, so you may run into issues and incompatibilities until they provide an update.

Tech Services is unable to support personal devices. However, if you should choose to set up your own device, please use the settings below.

If you are unsure of what these settings mean, you may want to print this page and confer with your non-district technical support provider.

Settings:

  • Account Type: Microsoft Exchange
  • Incoming/Outgoing Mail Servers: webmail.springfield.k12.or.us
  • Domain: springfield.k12.or.us
  • Username: Your Exchange username (ex. john.doe)
  • Password: Your Exchange password
  • Use SSL: On

You may need to accept an SSL certificate. If your mobile device supports it, you are advised to permanently save/trust it.
