In addition to the fun of hiking, campfire programs, outdoor cooking, and sleeping in a tent, we will open the BB gun range and the archery range, and there will be fun activities and opportunities to earn belt loops and whittling chips.

Interested in Cub Scouts? - Join us for our first Pack 36 Meeting

posted Sep 17, 2015, 1:45 PM by Pack 36 Webmaster

Please join us at our first Pack meeting of the year on Sunday, September 27 from 3:15 to 4:30 in the Springer Multi-purpose Room.

We welcome boys at all grade levels are welcome to join a Cub Scout Den. First-grade boys (Tiger Cubs) meet with their families and their Den while Wolf Cub Scouts (second graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth graders) meet as a Den.

Cub Scouting is a program for boys ages 6-10 who are in 1st-5th grades. Cub Scouts have the opportunity to attend summer camp and summer day camp and take part in a number of great activities, usually including, among others, the Pinewood Derby. Cub Scouting is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys and their parents. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Service projects, ceremonies, games, and other activities guide boys through the core values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Through positive peer group interaction and parental guidance, boys also learn honesty, bravery, and respect. Family involvement is an essential part of Cub Scouting, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in the program. Through interaction between parents, leaders, and friends, boys learn citizenship, compassion, and courage. This family- and community-centered approach to learning means that Cub Scouting is truly time well spent.
