About Us

Special Olympics Ontario is a volunteer-driven organization with some 18,000 athletes and 8,000 volunteers registered across the province. Athletes range in age from 8 - 80 and have the opportunity to train in 18 core sports.

The Grimsby-Lincoln Community of Special Olympics Ontario began in 2008 and has already grown to 80 registered athletes and more than 25 volunteers. Every facet of our community is dedicated to enriching the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.

We are proud to have sent five athletes to the Special Olympics Ontario 2016 Provincial Spring Games in Guelph - May 26-28, 2016.  Community supporters are welcomed to Sponsor an Athlete to assist us to fund this amazing opportunity for our athletes. Please contact Community Coordinator Werner Unger at glsocommunitycoordinator@hotmail.ca.
