WELCOME

Welcome!  If you are a 5th grader, or the parent/guardian of one, welcome to 5th grade!!  Let me tell you about myself! I grew up in Onida, South Dakota where I graduated from Sully Buttes High School in 2014.  I then proceeded to go to Black Hills State University, where I played college basketball while getting my undergraduate in Elementary Education.  Right out of college, I was hired as a third-grade teacher in Spearfish, where I spent 6 years teaching and coaching High School Girls Basketball and Girls Track! I recently decided to move to fifth-grade to continue my teaching career! As an educator, my role is to create a classroom where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported in their growth. I believe learning should be meaningful and engaging, helping students build not only academic skills but also confidence, curiosity, and perseverance. My goal is to foster a positive environment where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and learn from both success and failure.
