YouTube for Common Core Writing

Session Information
Did you know YouTube is a great tool to teach and improve writing? Whether one has an ESL or traditional English classroom, the ability for students to comprehend information visually, summarize, and respond to it, helps to encourage critical thinking. Join Erik Bean, Ed.D. and Emily Waszak for a hands-on demonstration how to set up a safe YouTube class channel aligned to Common Core writing lesson plans. Highlights include how students can create and upload their own annotated embedded videos responding to controversial issues then comment on the quality of their summaries, arguments and claims.
