Southern Sound* is the charitable hospital radio service for the South Glasgow University Hospital. 

Staffed entirely by volunteers, it provides programmes from studios based 1 mile away from the hospital at Harmony Row, Glasgow.

Launched in May 1974 at Philipshill Hospital, Southern Sound Hospital Radio transferred to the Southern General Hospital on 24th April 1995.

It is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year.
