We hope to be able to reopen on Thursday 3rd December 2020 if it is in line with the Government's advice at that time but will continue to keep you updated.

Classes can continue as normal until Wednesday 4th November at 10pm.

Café@Fenton's will be open until 1pm on Wednesday 4th November.

Thank you for your continued support and please stay safe! We hope to see you all in again in the near future.

Why not take a walk and have a look at Fenton's Poppy Appeal Window?

If you wished to make a donation to the the Royal British Legion this year but weren't sure how, you are able to donate using the QR code in our window display via your phone.  There are also poppies and pins inside all the village shops and the post office.

In line with Government Advice we will be closed from Thursday 5th November.

But until then while you are there why not pop in for a cup of coffee or tea too or a delicious piece of homemade cake?  We are open Monday to Saturday 9am -1 pm. We hope to see you soon! Covid19 safety measures are in place. Please wear a mask in all communal areas.  Contactless payments only.

posted 31 Oct 2020, 06:32 by Kate Brown   [ updated 1 Nov 2020, 07:22 ]

Cerney News is distributed to all households around South Cerney and Cerney Wick (thank you to the huge team of volunteers who put the newsletter together and distribute it).  But if you haven't got yours there are extra copies in One Stop, Co-op and at Fenton's (in a box just outside the front door). This month's edition, November 2020, is the 500th edition so to mark this historic moment some some interesting village history articles are included for your enjoyment.

Helping keep our grounds up to scratch

posted 7 Oct 2020, 08:10 by Kate Brown

First a big thank you to all our volunteers who have been keeping their areas of the borders in shape - Peter and Jenny Jay, Roger and Gill Scott,  Patrick and Sue Mills, Brian Kimberley and Joy King. If I've missed someone off do say!

During this pandemic we haven't been able to run our usual 'all in it together' volunteer sessions but some of us have been going down individually working in social distancing mode.

It still seems too soon to organise a formal session even though it is working outside.  But I'd happily join 2 or 3 people there by arrangement if anyone would like to help - in social distancing mode each with our own tools. And I'll happily dispose of all the weeds!

So do get in touch if you would like to join our volunteer team now or in the future.

Walk or cycle to Fenton's

posted 7 Oct 2020, 08:01 by Kate Brown

Polite reminder - we are pleased to be situated only a short walk from the centre of the village.  So if possible why not stretch your legs and fill your lungs with fresh air and walk or cycle to Fenton's?

If you do need to drive, please use our car park and avoid parking on the surrounding roads in Cerney on the Water and the Limes.

Many thanks for your continued support.

We can be on your cycle route

posted 7 Oct 2020, 07:56 by Kate Brown

Why not follow one of the local cycle routes in the area and stop off at our café for a coffee and a slice of cake? The perfect setting to enjoy the sunshine if we have it or just for a rest.

We have a cycle rack to lock up your bike and rest your legs on our indoor or outdoor seating. We are open 9-1 pm Monday to Saturday.
