Content for Students


For individuals using a “traditional” H.323 video conference unit (such as a Polycom, Tandberg, Cisco systems) is required along with an internet connection. Schools may dial into SOITA or SOITA may dial out to schools. If the school wants to dial SOITA directly an IP# will be sent approximately one week before the start of the event. If you would like to do a test connection please email suzie@soita.org with a date/time that would work best for you.

For classroom use, if you have a laptop, desktop or most any device with a webcam and microphone, you are good to go!    Teachers are welcome to connect a projector to their device so that the students can see. For use with a classroom sized group you might want to consider adding a nice webcam and a USB microphone/speakers. This is a recommendation but not a requirement 

A Zoom meeting connection ID will be emailed approximately one week before the start of the event.  Participants will be required to download a zoomuslauncher.zip file one time before using zoom.
