For the 2016-17 school year, we will be broadcasting over 30 sessions of professional development via video streaming.  Our popular TeleTechs cover a wide variety of timely educational technology topics today's teachers need.

With video streaming, your staff can participate in these programs on their computer, iPad, Android Tablet, or even their smartphone. SOITA will broadcast each presentation live from 4:00 pm - 4:20 pm (EST).  An on-screen chat feature will allow your staff to submit questions during the presentation.

Recommendations for Streaming

In order to have the best possible experience when streaming content from SOITA, we recommend the following:
  • Using a mobile device that supports either the iOS or Android operating systems. *The default browser on Android current doesn't support streaming. Download either Dolphin Browser or Opera to view the stream. Both are free!
  • You may try viewing the stream with Windows Phone or Blackberry devices, however we cannot guarantee the stream will be viewable as those devices are not officially supported.
  • Use a wired connection, if viewing the stream from a  laptop or desktop. If you must use a wireless connection, make sure it is the "G" or "N" standard.
  • Please make sure your desktop or laptop browser and operating system are up-to-date and that Adobe Flash is installed. If not, you can download Flash using this link.
  • While it is possible to stream SOITA's content over 3G/4G connections provided by your phone carrier, SOITA is not responsible for the quality of the stream. Be aware streaming content will consume large amounts of data.
