Session Description: 
Build a community of STEM learners in your school by opening the doors on Saturdays. Come and learn how two teachers in Xenia have helped to build STEM awareness and interest amongst students and families. We will share our processes, successes, failures, and plans for moving forward, hoping to inspire you to do the same where you teach.
Presenter Bio:
Tim Carey is a third-grade teacher at McKinley Elementary School in Xenia, Ohio. This is his third year coaching a LEGO Robotics team at McKinley and his fourth year co-leading McKinley’s Super Saturday program with Denise Garrett. He previously worked as an Air Camp counselor, a K-3 STEM Teacher in Dayton and has served as a STEM Fellow for the past 7 years. Tim is passionate about bringing STEM experiences to younger students to inspire them to pursue STEM careers as they get older.
