UAVs, UASs and Drones! Join Brent Kiss for an introductory talk about the explosive growth of affordable, small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and how they are changing the way people are doing business across a variety of industries. This session will present an overview of how companies are starting to use UASs from farming to filming and everything in between. With the pilot’s feet now firmly on the ground, job skills and industry workforce needs have evolved greatly from the iconic vision of a pilot, join this session to explore the associated job skills and training shifts in operations for this exploding industry
Presenter Bio:
Steven (Brent) Kiss graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Industrial Steven (Brent) Kiss graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He continued his education at Wright State University where he received a Master’s degree in Human Factors Engineering. Recent work has been focused on UAS related projects at Wright State Research Institute (WSRI) including the creation of a simulation for multiple MQ-9 Reapers in transit to their designated mission area providing results on the needed resources in terms of Ground Control Stations and military personnel. Mr. Kiss is also building a custom Quad-Copter designed to be adaptable supporting multiple sensors for various applications.
