On Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., in a meeting at the Socorro County Annex, 198 Neel Socorro, NM 87801, the Board of County Commissioners of Socorro County Will Conduct a Public Hearing for the Purpose of Discussing the Adoption of Ordinance 2015-002 Setting Forth Wolf-Human Incident Emergency Protective Measures.
The purpose of the ordinance is to establish procedures for responding to sightings, complaints, or the need for immediate assistance to manage predators that threaten or pose danger to humans, including children or other defenseless persons, domestic animals and/or livestock and to prohibit the translocation of predators into the County of Socorro. The Board of County Commissioners may vote to adopt the Ordinance at the meeting following the public hearing.
Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available for the public to view free of charge online (located below this post) or at the County Clerk’s Office or the County Manager's Office, 201 Park Street, Socorro, NM. Copies of the proposed Ordinance may be purchased by the public from either office for $2.45. Written questions or comments to be considered at the public hearing will be accepted until 5:00 P.M. on Monday, November 9, 2015, at the Socorro County Manger’s Office.
