Do I make history or does history make me?

Think about it:
History is in every interaction, foreign and domestic.  It marks every moment of every day.
It's the record of decisions people have made about how to survive.

This means that everything we do is important!

You should want to know
not only what has happened and what is happening,
but also how things affect you, because you have a story to tell!

Elie Wiesel said, “What is a witness if not someone who has a tale to tell
and ... one haunting desire:  to tell it.  Without memory, there is no culture.
Without memory, there would be no civilization, no society, no future”.

We are called to engage with the past so we can improve our present:
We make our own history!
