Kathy McCord, Counselor (G-O)  Ext 6007

I am Kathy McCord and am excited to be the counselor for the students whose last names begin with the letters G-O.  I came to PHHS in the second semester of 1998 as a counseling intern from Ball State University.  I was hired later than spring to begin in the fall of 1999.  I was raised just down the road from PHHS and graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1981.  I continued my education at Ball State University where I earned a degree in Secondary Education.  I was a classroom teacher for 13 years teaching math and science before earning my Masters Degree from BSU in School Counseling.  This year marks my 31st year in education and I absolutely love what I do in working with teenagers.  I have been married for 36 years and have 3 (+1) daughters and 4 grandchildren.  At this point in my life I love to travel (especially where it is warm!), gardening and spending time with family and friends.  I truly look forward to working with your children and your family.

Hello, my name is Mike Taylor and I am the counselor for the students whose last names begin with the letters P-Z. I have been at PHHS since 1999.  Before PHHS, I was a Mental Health Counselor for the Children's Campus in Mishawaka, IN for five years and before that I worked at the Youth Service Bureau in Muncie as an outpatient therapist.  Educationally, I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO.  Then I moved on to Ball State where I earned two degrees in Community and School Counseling.  I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist/School Counselor whose focus is in working with youth.  I truly enjoy working with young people.  Every day is a new and exciting adventure.
