Dear CHS Chorale students and families,
Madrigal Weekend is now upon us, and we are so excited for you to hear us perform on Sunday Decemer 3rd at 2pm. Please see below for reminders regarding details for the weekend's festivities. We look forward to singing for you!

*CHS Chorale members are scheduled to perform on Sunday December 3rd.

*Event is held at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Hall (27108 Mt. Zion Church RdMechanicsville, MD 20659).

*Call time is 12noon for performers, dressed in concert uniforms.

*Doors open to our guests at 1:30pm, show begins at 2pm.

*This is a ticketed event for our guests.  Student performers do not need a ticket. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list for tickets, please email Mrs. Lorek by 5pm today.

*In addition to singing, families were asked to contribute to the fundraiser by one of the following selections:
1. If you signed up to bring a dessert/appetizer, please bring with the students at 12noon call.

2. If you signed up to assist with set up in the hall, please arrive at 10am.

3.  If you signed up to assist with tear down, please arrive at 3:30pm.

Note that while this was an optional performance for the CHS Chorale students, the music is curricularly aligned, and will become grades for class.  Students who did not commit to this performance have been working an alternate assignment to support the academic learning that is due on Monday 12/4.

Dear Student, Parents and Guardians,
We have been eagerly awaiting Madrigal Weekend.  And, now, the time is upon us.  There is still much to do, and we need your help.

As Madrigal Weekend largely highlights the Peace Pipers and Divas, we call upon you to assist us this weekend by volunteering for one of the assignments below.  Additionally, we ask PP and Divas to bring an appetizer and/or dessert.  If you have not signed up to bring an appetizer and/or dessert, email Melanie Stasch (coordinator) at wellsandstasch4@yahoo.com.

Peace Pipers will be fed during the event via potluck.  The students can elect to bring an item to share, or can contribute $5 to provide pizza. Sign ups for this will take place today during after-school rehearsal from 3-5pm (3-4:15pm for Divas).

Thank you for all you are doing to support the choral ensembles.  I am grateful for your time, and appreciate the sacrifices made by the student and families to make this event magical.

Sincerely,
Sarah Lorek

HAC posting

posted Nov 7, 2016, 8:09 PM by Sarah Lorek

HAC EMAILS ARE DOWN.  PLEASE READ BELOW!

Good afternoon Students, Parents and Guardians,
I am so excited for this school year with all of you.  We have already had some rehearsal time, and I can tell this is a great bunch of students!  Please read below regarding pertinent information for this school year.  If you have questions, please email me.

1.  The students received two paper forms.  For the remainder of the year, all paperwork is sent digitally (unless county distributed).  If you do not have consistent access to email/texting service, please contact me and I will send home print outs with your students.  The forms need to be returned by Monday August 29th.  I have included them in this email.

2.  The first meeting for students and parents is on Monday August 29th from 4:30-6:30pm.  Students may stay after-school until it begins.  Parents and family members are asked to attend.  The Meet n' Greet is an opportunity to review necessary materials, volunteer with the Chorus Boosters, and get students fitted for uniforms.  The event is a potluck dinner, please bring a dish that feeds your family plus two.

3. All communication is sent via HAC emails and the "Remind" app.  If you have not used the "Remind" for text messages or emails, click here for more information. If your HAC emails are not up to date, please contact the guidance department to update.

4.  All students and guardians are asked to read the CHS Chorus Handbook by August 30th. The Handbook can be found here.  Once you have read it, please complete the electronic signature page found here.

5.  All information distributed can be found on ChopticonChorus.org
