    About Math Club:

    • Talks: We have mathematicians from all over the country, as well as professors from SMCM give fun talks about math.  We also have a week of talks by club members who will present their summer research. Pizza is provided at the talks.
    • Pi Day/Math Week of Awesome: Pi Day, March 14, usually falls during Spring Break, but this year we will be on campus! So we're celebrating twice! After Spring Break, we will have an entire week of awesome math activities, including the annual Pi(e) Eating Contest.
    • Game Nights: Our game nights are an awesome study break, where we play fun games like Blokus and Set and eat cookies!
    • Math Conferences: Each spring we attend the Mathematical Association of America's MD-DC-VA sectional meeting. This April, the joint national meeting of the MAA and the American Mathematical Society will be at James Madison University and we some of our own professors and students will give talks.
