CyberPatriot Youth Competitions

At the center of CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. The competition puts teams of high school and middle school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the networks of a small company.

CyberPatriot Competition

Cabrillo College is hosting cybersecurity events for the CyberPatriot season at its Aptos campus. Middle school and high school students registered to compete will experience Windows and Linux hands-on in a virtual environment along with Cisco networking training. If you are a middle school or high school student in Santa  Cruz County that plans to register for CyberPatriot, please join us!


Bay Area Regional Competition

Held at Cisco HQ; top teams of region compete to represent the Bay Area at the CA Innovations Challenge at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

All IT Academy Day

Spring (Date and Time TBD)

Team-based, hands-on competition; engages students in A+ boot camp with computer repair exercises, quizzes, packet tracers and Jeopardy challenges.

California Cyber Innovations Challenge

June (Date and Time TBD)

The CCIC allows high school level cybersecurity competition teams to demonstrate their expertise, while encouraging the formation of new cybersecurity teams for future statewide challenges.

CyberCamps: Summer

Cabrillo Campus: June 18 - 22
Watsonville Campus: July 16 - 20

This 20-hour curriculum focused on cyber security is designed to be completed over five days, with the fifth day serving as a day of mini-Competition.

All Girls Day: October

Girls from MS/HS meet with women in the tech industry to learn about the field, opportunities and do forensic challenges together.
