Summer session 2014 at Reis will run from Monday, May 19 through Saturday, June 7. Please note that the end date is different from the Intersession end date listed on the SLU Academic Calendar. For Reis courses, classes run all day Monday through Friday, with exams given on Saturday morning. If you sign up for a course at the field station, you should expect to leave the station on June 7 no earlier than 2 pm. Unless there is an emergency, requests to leave early will not be considered.
The following courses will be offered during Summer session 2014:

- BIOL-432 Cave Biology
- BIOL-433 Spring Flora of the Ozarks
To apply: Beginning October 15, 2013, send an email message to the Station Director, Dr. Tom Valone (firstname.lastname@example.org), with the following information:
- First & last name
- Banner ID
- Sex (for housing assignments)
- Phone number
- Prior biology courses taken
- Name of the field course you wish to take
Reis summer courses have an associated $250 field fee that pays for food, transportation and field supplies during the 3-week session. Seats in all three courses are reserved in the order that deposits are received. To hold your reservation, you must remit a non-refundable $50 deposit that will be credited toward the field fee; we will accept deposits in cash only.
Dr. Valone (MWH 130) will begin accepting deposits at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 15. The remainder of the field fee (again, cash only) will be due in the spring semester, no later than April 1, 2014, and must be submitted to Dr. Valone. Refunds will not be made after your deposit and field fee are received; be sure to read carefully the course descriptions and general information about the field station on the Field Courses page. You will register for the RBS courses during regular spring enrollment period; Dr. Valone will send you registration instructions.
