Jillon S. Vander Wal, Ph.D. is Professor of Psychology, Director of Clinical Training, Director of the Weight, Eating, and Lifestyle Lab (WELL), and Licensed Psychologist at Saint Louis University and  a faculty member in the Professionalism and Integrity Program at Washington University.  Dr. Vander Wal’s clinical areas of expertise include the evidence-based treatment of various forms of psychopathology, particularly disorders of eating, depression, and anxiety as well as the promotion of health behavior change.  She provides clinical supervision in the Psychological Services Center at Saint Louis University.   Dr. Vander Wal also teaches univariate statistics, psychometric theory, cognitive behavioral interventions, and abnormal psychology and supervises graduate and undergraduate research and clinical practicums.  Her program of research addresses the assessment, development, and treatment of disorders of weight regulation, eating, and health practices.  She provides service to the clinical psychology program, the department of psychology, and the university institutional review board, and serves as a reviewer for a number of professional journals.
