Jillon S. Vander Wal, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist, Associate Professor of Psychology, and Director of the Eating and Weight Studies Lab at Saint Louis University where she teaches in the clinical psychology doctoral training program. She provides clinical supervision in the Psychological Services Center, a low-cost sliding scale fee clinic at Saint Louis University. Dr. Vander Wal’s clinical areas of expertise include the evidence-based treatment of various forms of psychopathology, particularly disorders of eating, depression, and anxiety as well as the promotion of health behavior change (sleep, obesity, smoking cessation, diabetes, hypertension, etc). Her program of research addresses the assessment, development, and treatment of disorders of eating and weight regulation and health practices. Dr. Vander Wal is currently conducting research on the treatment of night eating syndrome, psychosocial issues in pediatric overweight, eating disorder risk and recovery, and the promotion of lifestyle activity.
