Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #991 Scholarship
Spring 2019 Scholarship.  Student must have Vietnam Veteran within family. Student must provide copy of veteran's DD-214.  Deadline:  November 26, 2018.

The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc.
Student has overcome adversity and given back to the community. Student shows financial need. Apply online. See Ms. Tutt for details. Deadline:  October 25, 2018. 

Texas Student Housing Scholarship
Open to students accepted to colleges in Austin, College Station, or Denton, TX that have NOT signed off-campus housing leases. SAT/ACT scores required. Deadline:  January 31, 2019.

Raise Your Hand Texas Scholarships
For those students choosing teaching as a career. Up to $8000 per year for up to four years.  Must attend one of the following universities:  Our Lady of the Lake, UT/Austin, UNT/Dallas, SMU, Rice, University of Houston, Texas A&M-Special Education Program, UT/Rio Grande, or Texas Tech.  For more information, including eligibility requirements, please visit

2018 Proud Texan Scholarship Contest
Online Application.  Create a 30-to-120 second video, write a brief essay (no more than 500 words). The video and essay must describe what motivates you to continue your education, who has helped you along the way, and what do you do, or plan to do, to better the state of Texas.  Additional information is available in the high school office.   Deadline:  December 30, 2018.

Baylor University Collins Scholarship
Students must be admitted to Baylor University, be in the top quarter of their graduating class, and have a minimum score of 1310 on the SAT or 28 on the ACT.
Applications are available online at  Deadline:  January 31, 2019.

Frost Bank Interest Free Educational Loan Fund
Application packets may be obtained after November 1. See high school office for more information.

Houston County Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Recipient must be a graduating senior whose parents/legal guardians maintain a permanent residence currently using the electrical lines of
Houston County Electric Cooperative (HCEC). Applications available in high school office.  Deadline:  January 15, 2019
