About the Teacher

Susan Neifert

Math and Reading Intervention for K-6th grades

I began teaching at Skyline in 2012. My Elementary Education degree was earned from Barclay College.
I received my Masters of Education - Reading Specialist from Fort Hays State University in 2016.
My intervention classroom is where students learn important Reading and Math skills.
There are many different resources to use to make learning hands-on and applicable to the regular classroom.

A Short Biography
I was born in Wichita but only lived there the first six years of my life. It was in the middle of my kindergarten
year that my family moved to Burundi, Africa. I spent all but two of my elementary and high school years in
Africa – ten years total. I attended Barclay College in Haviland, Kansas where I received my elementary
education degree. After college, my husband and I lived in Indiana for several years where I spent my time
at home with our three girls. After we moved back to Kansas, I taught Special Education one year and
Kindergarten four years in Argonia.
