March For Life Pilgrimage

This year, 87 students (15 - Freshmen, 12 - Sophomores, 28 - Juniors, 32 - Seniors) attended Skutt Catholic's Pilgrimage to the 45th Annual March for Life. This is over 10% of our student body and by far the largest group of students to attend the March for Life.

This pilgrimage is known as the "American Pilgrimage" because it is the largest gathering of Catholics in the U.S. - United in their mission to overturn Roe v. Wade, abolish abortion, gain legal protection for the unborn, promote reconciliation and demand way better solutions and support for women and men in crisis pregnancies across the country.

In addition to participating in largest Human Rights gathering in the world, our students got to experience the heart of democracy and exercise their 1st Amendment right. We attended Mass in a variety of settings, among them, the Mass for Life with over 15,000 in the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. We prayed the Rosary, adored Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, sang songs of praise and worship, received the Sacrament of Rec
onciliation, and this year Pope Francis granted a Plenary Indulgence (complete remission of all temporal punishment due to sin) for those making this pilgrimage. Needless to say, it was an amazing pilgrimage!

FBLA Third Annual February Food Drive

FBLA will kick off its third annual February Food Drive on Thursday, February 8!

The theme of the food drive is Favorite Food Duo, so double points will be awarded for any donations of Macaroni & Cheese. Any nonperishable food donations are welcome.

The food drive will be a competition among homerooms and grades. The top three homerooms win breakfast, and the top grade wins a free dress day!

Students should drop off their donations in their homeroom by Friday, February 23. All donations will go to the Food Bank for the Heartland.

FBLA donated over 50 hours of service and $250 to the Food Bank earlier this year.
