FBLA helps high school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. FBLA is organized to encourage members to participate in activities designed to facilitate intelligent career choices, develop business skills, teach the value of community responsibility, and strengthen self-confidence.
The Skutt Catholic FBLA chapter meets approximately once a month on Thursdays before school. Each year we host several guest speakers. Our members have the opportunity to attend a variety of events, such as business meetings, business tours, leadership conferences, business competitions, and business/career days hosted by area universities. We coordinate with Catholic Charities and the Food Bank for the Heartland to perform community service and hold an annual food drive at Skutt Catholic each fall. We also coordinate with Campus Ministry to hold an annual diaper drive in January and February.
