Math Resources

We highly encourage your high school student to take advantage of these resources over the summer months.  
These online resources are free to access and assist in preparing students for their math courses in September.  

There are three separate web-based resources that we recommend: 







  • Khan Academy website houses a variety of video lessons that can be used as a quick refresher of how to solve a problem.  The "missions" provided by Khan Academy allow your student to get an individualized program that includes scaffolded instruction and practice. We have created a list of Khan Academy "missions" that would be the most useful to prepare your student for their class next year.











    
       

        


        
 











  •  CK12 offers a free program that includes video lessons and practice. Students are able to pick a specific topic to work on.  Every problem has embedded instruction with hints and multiple learning resources associated with it. lessons.   • IXL Math has a multitude of practice problems. Students are able to pick a specific topic to work on. Immediate feedback is given.   If the answer provided  was correct, a new problem is assigned. If the answer was incorrect, a detailed explanation is provided to explain the correct process.  We have created a list of IXL topics that would be the most useful to prepare your student for their class next year.
